N64 Memory Pak just got it's SRAM chip and battery replaced with a FRAM chip and it's holding a save! Side note, also couldn't help but notice the GameGear style capacitor inside.
I bought some new equipment and made a few FRAM modded Controller Paks. No battery required to save and the chip should last 60+ years. : r/n64
